Wednesday Beyoncé stole the show, performing between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens at halftime of the primetime Christmas Day game.

Entering Houston’s NRG Stadium on a horse, the “Texas Hold “Em” singer sang tunes from her most recent album, “Cowboy Carter.”

At one point Shaboozey and Post Malone joined her on the field.

Beyoncé stepped on a scaffold and was raised far above the field as she began to wind up. Then she gestured with her hands like a finger-gun and a large “Bang” banner opened behind her.

Stadium supporters cheered, and on social media the reviews were mostly good. But given the league’s crackdown this season, NFL viewers began to ridicule the finger-gun motion.

After touchdowns or to indicate a first down, several NFL stars have exhibited finger guns. After those celebrations, game officials have flown flags since the league has banned violent protests.

NFL executive Troy Vincent tackled the matter at a league conference in October, said NFL Network.

Vincent remarked of the motions, “There’s no place in professional football for that.” “Consider our collective position as a society. That’s not where I believe we are or what we should be attempting to portray. As professional sportsmen, we have obligations.

Additionally discussing the matter was NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

This is a long-standing policy; we are going to enforce that, he said. Troy, I believe, just last week had a straight discussion with the union about it. We will keep on that particular emphasis. We believe that in those situations it is inappropriate and delivers the incorrect messages. We will so keep on doing it.
